On a rainy Monday some time in July of last year, I was out and about in Iwakuni, a town in Japan. This was my second stint in Japan, where I lived previously as a Marine. Now I am a Rock Point church past, and I serve as a minister to military and their families, with some local families too. It was a torrential downpour lasting for two days, with severe flash flooding in the area. As I helped some local vendors save their precious equipment from flooding, talking to people we realized that difference in faith did not prevent us to serve for common good.
Key Takeaways:
- Bryan Backus speaks on his experience as a AGWM missionary to Japan. Him and his wife are now ministers for Military through Rock Point church.
- Bryan Backus has also served as a sheriff from 2009 all the way up through 2016.
- Bryan and his wife Erica are very grateful for anyone who supports their ministry through donations. They believe the money is a great investment in man kind.
