Wonderfully Made (Psalm 139)

Today we continue our message series called “How God Sees You.” The more we understand about God and how he sees us, the better prepared we will be the live the life He create to live. You see, God is not a detached observer of us, He is the one who created us. God is our Father and we are His children.

Today, my message is entitled “Wonderfully Made.” Too often, we go through life without appreciating what God has done. God individually crafted each and every person on this planet. The Bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not a product of random chance, but of a God who designed every aspect of your makeup. God choose your parents and the genetics so that you would turn out just the way that he wanted. You are not an accident, you are a created child of a loving heavenly Father.

Alexander Tsiaras, a mathematician and visual artist, used special visualization software to scan the development of a live fetus from conception to birth. Here’s what Alexander Tsiaras said about the images of the babies he saw.

“The complexity of these [facts about human development], the mathematic models of how these are indeed done are beyond human comprehension. Even though I am a mathematician, I look at this with marvel: How do these instruction sets not make mistakes as they build what is us? It’s a mystery; it’s magic; it’s divinity …. [It’s] beyond any comprehension of any existing mathematics today.”

What is even more amazing is that each person that God creates is unique. No two people are exactly alike. Why is that? Well, first of all God is infinitely creative. But beyond that, God uniquely makes each person, because He has a unique plan and purpose for each person’s life.

Acts 17:26 (NIV) From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

Not only did God give you a unique divine design, he also determined what period of time you would be born in and what place you would live. Why did God make people in the first place and take some much care in their creation?

Acts 17:27 (NIV) God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

You were created to have a relationship with God and carry out His plan for your life. God wonderfully made you to carry out His plan for your life.
